Bought a 6-axis arm off a guy in Sacramento for $1,400 thinking I'd automate my little welding side gig, and it mostly sat there because figuring out the software ate every free evening I had. Half the folks I ask say I should've just paid a shop to teach me, the other half say the arm will pay for itself once it's dialed in. For those who bought into automation for small work, was it the best money you spent or the worst?
