Hit 150 automated hiring rejections today and I had to laugh
I counted 150 automated rejection emails in my inbox over the last 6 months from companies using AI screeners. The funny part was one rejection came 2 hours after I applied, which means a bot scanned my resume in under 120 minutes. Has anyone else seen a specific number of bot rejections that made you question if humans are even looking anymore?

I hit 47 rejections in one week back in March and something clicked for me. You gotta stop treating your resume like a document and start treating it like a keyword puzzle for the bots first. Go look at the job description and literally copy the same words they used for skills, then put them in your resume exactly as they appear. Also ditch the fancy formatting, no columns or tables or graphics because the bots can't read that stuff. Once I started tailoring my resume for each job with their exact phrases, I actually started getting callbacks within a few days instead of weeks. The system is broken but you can beat it by playing their stupid game.

Saw a study that said over 75% of resumes never get seen by a human because of those ATS bots. It explains the whole "black hole" feeling where you send out dozens of apps and hear nothing back. Really makes you wonder why companies even post jobs if they don't plan on reading the applications.

Wait, so we're basically writing cover letters for robot bouncers now? Guess I'll start my next one with "DEAR SCREENING BOT, PLEASE LET ME TALK TO A HUMAN.
