I let an AI tool write a report at my office job and my boss thought it was great

Last Tuesday, I used a popular AI writing assistant to draft a quarterly sales summary. It took me 5 minutes to feed it the numbers and get a full report. My boss praised the 'clarity and detail' in our team meeting. On one hand, it saved me two hours of work. On the other, it's my job, and the AI did it better. Has anyone else had a boss compliment work they didn't really do?

Yeah, that "clarity and detail" comment would make me feel weird too. It's a strange spot to be in when the tool does your job well.

Used to think it was just a tool to help out. Honestly, seeing it nail the exact thing I'd write changed my mind. Kinda makes you rethink your own role.
