Honestly, what's the point of learning a trade if the whole industry can just vanish in a decade? You watch people pour their whole lives into something, thinking they're building a future, and then some app or machine just makes it all obsolete. Makes you feel like the ground is always shifting under your feet, no matter how careful you try to be.

Remember hearing about people who trained for years to be travel agents or switchboard operators. Felt like a safe bet at the time. Makes you wonder what seems solid today will just get automated tomorrow. The goalposts keep moving and it's exhausting to keep up.
