Just changed my mind about self-checkout after my grocery order got completely scrambled

The store's new AI inventory system sent a robot picker to fill my online cart, and it gave me someone else's entire order for a family of six in Omaha. Has anyone else had a robot totally fail at a basic task you thought was safe?

Honestly that sounds like a human packing error got blamed on the robot. The tech is usually pretty good at matching barcodes. What did customer service say about it?

Our warehouse robot sent me a toaster instead of a textbook last month. The barcode system glitches more than they admit. Customer service just sent a generic apology email.

Got a buddy who works in a warehouse and he says the robots mess up way more than people think. They'll scan the wrong pallet all the time.
