My brother said his factory in Toledo is adding more robots than people this year.

He told me they're putting in 12 new assembly arms and letting 8 guys go. It hit different because he's one of the guys staying, but he feels guilty about it. Does anyone think this kind of shift is actually good for the workers left behind?

Seriously though, how dangerous are we talking? Most jobs have some risk, but it's usually pretty minor stuff. Like, are we comparing it to being a stunt driver or an office worker who might get a paper cut?

Maybe it's like how people still worry about sharks but ignore the stuff that actually gets us every day, like driving.
