Picked the AI scheduling tool over hiring a human assistant for my real estate leads

I was juggling 22 showings last month and had to choose between a $400/month AI scheduler or a part time assistant asking for $18/hr. Went with the AI after a 14 day free trial. First week it double booked me twice and I missed a closing meeting because it couldnt handle a last minute change. Fired it after 20 days and hired a college kid who works 15 hours a week for me now. Has anyone else found these tools just cant handle the chaos of real appointments?

Missed a closing meeting" sounds like a big deal, but was it really that serious or just a one time screw up?

@the_anthony I just owned up to it fast and offered to help reschedule, everyone moved on pretty quick.

yeah I actually read a thing about this on some management blog a while back. it said that when you miss a closing meeting it's usually not the meeting itself that matters but how people feel about you afterward. like if you ghost a deal closing or a client handoff they start wondering if you're reliable for bigger stuff. but if you just had a dentist appointment or something and you shoot them a text ahead of time it's way different. the person you're replying to seems like they handled it right by jumping on it quick.
