Pro tip: I lost $200 on a 'future-proof' online course about AI for graphic design.
I bought it last year thinking it would keep my skills safe from automation, but the software it taught is already being replaced by new AI tools. Now I feel like I just paid to learn how to use a typewriter. Do you think trying to out-learn the bots is a waste of money, or is it still the only real defense we have?

Paying to learn how to use a typewriter" is a perfect way to put it. I spent a similar amount on a crypto course right before everything crashed, so my defense is just as future-proof.

Oof, that's rough timing on the crypto course. But hey, at least a typewriter still works without electricity or an internet connection. My grandpa's old one from the 70s still types like a dream. Makes you wonder which skill actually lasts longer, right?

Man, my buddy bought a whole course on making fancy 3D art for video games. The software changed a year later and none of it worked. Sometimes the old tools are the only ones that don't get an update that ruins everything.
