Pro tip: I used to hand-draw every blueprint for my firm, but now the software in our Austin office does it in 15 minutes.

The change happened about 6 months ago when management said it was 'necessary for efficiency,' but it just feels like they're paving the way to replace us. Has anyone else's company started using 'efficiency' as a reason to phase out skilled work?

Our Denver branch automated client reports last month.

Maybe it's just a tool change, not a takeover. @price.ben, did the Denver team actually lose jobs, or just stop doing the boring stuff?

What did your team do with the extra time after automating reports? Ours started handling more complex client questions, which actually made their jobs better. It felt less like losing work and more like trading up for better work.

Wait, that's a huge difference... so did they cut people, or just cut the busy work?
