Realized I was wrong about AI bookkeeping after my boss showed me the numbers

I used to think automation would never handle messy receipts from clients. Then my boss ran a test on 500 invoices from last quarter and the AI caught 12 errors we missed. Has anyone else's opinion flipped after seeing cold hard data?

Run a blind test yourself with your own messy invoices, it's the only way to really trust the results. Keep a spreadsheet of what the machine catches versus what you catch for a month and compare the totals. Numbers don't lie, and once you see the pattern it's hard to go back to the old way.

The spreadsheet thing really seals it, I've done it myself and it's eye opening. You start noticing patterns like how the tool misses something specific to your vendor's format but catches everything else perfectly. After a month, you can see exactly where you need to double check and where you can just trust it. That proof makes the whole process so much smoother. It's not about perfect automation, it's about knowing your weak spots and working with them.

It's funny how seeing actual proof changes everything, kinda like how I used to swear by paper maps until GPS saved me from getting lost three times in one week.
