Serious question, has anyone else seen the new window cleaning rigs?

A crew of three guys used to handle the whole office building on Main Street here, but last month they showed up with a truck that had these robotic arms and water-fed poles. Now it's just one guy driving the truck and monitoring a tablet. The change happened literally overnight after the company bought a system called 'SkyClean Pro'. It's wild to see a job that needed a crew get cut down to a single person so fast. What other trades are seeing this kind of sudden shift?

Yeah it's crazy, I saw the same thing with landscaping crews. They got these big automated mowers that follow GPS lines, so now one guy just drives around checking on them. Feels like every hands-on job is getting replaced by a tablet and a machine, lol.

Man that's wild. So what happens to the guy who used to actually run the mower? Does he get trained to fix the robots, or is he just out of work? Feels like we're just trading one kind of job for another, but way fewer of them.

You're right, @shanef34, it's everywhere now. I see it at the hardware store with those self-checkout lanes, and even the grocery store has those robot floor scrubbers roaming the aisles. It makes me wonder what happens to all the people who used to do those jobs.
