Spent 4 hours trying to fix a printer that wouldn't scan
Last week at my office in Cincinnati, our old HP printer just stopped scanning documents. I figured it was a driver issue, so I spent 2 hours reinstalling software and restarting everything. Then I thought maybe it was a network problem, so I messed with settings for another hour. Finally called IT and the guy said it was a loose cable in the back. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something that simple?

lol isnt that always how it goes though? You spend hours thinking its some complex software glitch and its just a loose wire or something stupid. I swear printers are designed to make you feel like an idiot. The worst part is when you finally fix it and you cant even laugh about it because you wasted half your day. And then the printer just stares at you like "yeah, thats right, I won this round." Honestly I think they put a gremlin inside each one thats just there to mess with people.

Had a similar thing with my car radio last month. Tore my hair out for hours thinking the battery was dying or something. Ended up being a single fuse that cost like three bucks. Makes you feel real smart, huh?
