A ramp guy in Tulsa asked why I still ohm out every pin by hand, and his face when I said 'because the manual says so' still bugs me
Back in 2006 the shop at TUL had a Connector Pride poster on the wall, and I mean a laminated one that the lead actually made us read during break. The point was that maybe half of the squawks we chased traced back to one pin that looked seated but wasn't, and a $30 pin kit beats a $12k road trip. These days I see techs push the connector in, give it a wiggle, and call it good, and I get why, because the tester passes and the clock is running. But I still do the pull test on every single pin even when it doubles my time, and I want to know if that's just me being stubborn or if anybody else has a rule they won't break no matter what the schedule looks like.
