My view on pre-flight checks shifted after a model rocket launch gone wrong.

Now I double-check every connection, no matter how small.

Did that rocket mishap change how you handle other risky hobbies? I began double-checking everything after a similar scare.

Totally, it rewires how you handle everything, honestly.

Starting from that "double-checking everything" point... it really does bleed into other stuff. After my rocket failed, I started treating everything with even mild risk the same way. Checking my bike brakes before a steep hill, or even just making sure a ladder is solid before climbing. That one scary moment rewires your brain... you stop seeing extra checks as a hassle and more like the only way to do things. It becomes automatic after a while, just part of the routine.

Yeah, that "rewires your brain" thing is so true. I got so paranoid after a small kitchen fire that I now check the stove knob like three times before leaving the house. It feels silly, but that little jolt of fear just sticks with you. Claire_singh56 is right, it spreads to everything risky. I even double knot my shoes now because of one time I tripped. It just becomes your new normal, like brushing your teeth.
