PSA: A single pin in a D-sub connector on a G1000 unit cost me 4 hours of my Friday.
The intermittent fault was a slightly bent pin I missed on the first three inspections with my magnifier. What's the most time you've lost to a tiny, simple thing?

Four hours is a new record for a single pin. I bet you were ready to trade the magnifier for a sledgehammer by hour three. Classic case of the smallest thing causing the biggest headache.

Ugh, right? It's always the tiniest thing. Rowan's spot on about ruling everything else out first, but doesn't that just happen with everything? The smallest screw-up always takes the longest to find.

Four hours on one pin? Sounds more like a comedy than a crisis.

Been there, that kind of tiny fault can eat a whole day. Makes you wonder how many of those hours were spent just ruling out everything else first. What was the actual symptom that finally made you look at that pin a fourth time?
