Shoutout to the new guy who caught my cannon plug mistake on a CRJ-200
I was finishing up a pitot static check on a CRJ-200 in Tulsa last week and got distracted by a phone call, and I torqued a cannon plug finger tight because it felt snug. The new kid, three weeks out of school, ran his hand along the connector during his walkaround and asked why it moved when he wiggled it. Sure enough, it was loose enough to fail a continuity check, and I had signed off on it ten minutes earlier. I have been doing this for 14 years and that almost went out the door, so now I keep a small mirror taped to my cart just for those blind connectors. Anybody else catch something on a second pass that you had already stamped off, or is it just me?
