Shoutout to the pin tester that caught my intermittent flap issue

After 3 late nights chasing a flap position fault on a 737 in Denver, I finally ran a wiggle test with a DMM on the harness and found a pin that had backed out 2mm, has anyone else seen those old Cannon plugs fail like that?

Hell yeah, that's a great catch! Those old Cannon plugs are absolute garbage when they age. I had the exact same thing happen on an A320 a few years back, spent a whole weekend chasing a slat disagreement that turned out to be a pin backed out just like yours. The worst part is the wiggle test only caught it because I was pushing on the connector at a weird angle, the pin looked fine until you put side pressure on it. You'd think with all the vibration and heat cycles those things would be built tougher, but they just slowly work their way loose. Good on you for finding it though, that kind of intermittent fault is a nightmare to locate.
