Showerthought: My boss in Dallas gave me the 'autopilot or comms' choice on a tight deadline.

I chose the autopilot servo swap, which left the pilot griping about static for a week. Anyone else had a call where fixing one thing just highlights another problem?

So which problem would have been cheaper to fix long term?

Good question, @paulw53. The answer is always the one you ignore. Letting a small leak go turns into a whole new roof. Basic upkeep is cheap, total replacement is not.

Heard from a buddy who ignored a tiny drip from his water heater for months. By the time he got around to it, the whole floor was shot and mold was creeping up the walls. Cost him triple what a simple fix would've been.
