Damn, that’s a chunk of change but honestly I get it. I picked up a mid-range one last year and the difference is night and day compared to the cheap handheld I used before. Like, I can actually spot a single bad cell in a panel before it turns into a whole string failure, saves me a second trip and a customer who thinks I’m guessing. Plus the image quality makes it way easier to show the homeowner exactly what’s wrong, and that alone makes the price feel fair. Ngl, I was sweating the cost at first, but after a few jobs where it caught things the budget one missed completely, I stopped second-guessing it.
