Switched from a multimeter to a DMM for continuity checks after 10 years

Used to poke around with a basic analog meter for hours tracing breaks in harnesses, but my lead tech showed me a Fluke 87V last month and it caught a 0.3 ohm difference I kept missing. Has anyone else found a specific meter that changed how you troubleshoot?

Analog was fine for years until I realized my eyes were playing tricks on the needle position after a double shift. Switched to a Klein CL800 and never looked back.

Holy crap, double shift and still using an analog meter? That's insane. I would've fried something by hour 6 with a needle bouncing around like that. You must have eyes of steel or something. Glad you saw the light with the CL800 though, that thing is a beast.

Man, I had a buddy back in trade school who swore by his analog meter. He'd squint at that needle like it was a secret code. One day after a long shift he was checking a motor and swore the needle was pegged at 120 volts. Took a shock that knocked him off his ladder. Turns out the battery in his meter was dead and the needle was just stuck in place. He bought a digital that same afternoon.
