Hit 200 closed deals this month in B2B lead gen, never expected that

I've been doing cold outreach for a small marketing agency in Phoenix for about 18 months now, and last month I closed 200 qualified leads for clients. That number surprised me because my average was usually around 120, and I didn't change my script or strategy much. Has anyone else seen a random spike in results without making big changes?

Id definitely double check your email tracking data if you use any. A small tweak like an A/B test on subject lines or even just sending at a different time could explain the jump. I've had months where I changed nothing and saw a spike, and it turned out my leads were just from a different time zone that responded better to afternoon sends. Maybe your list got a little older over time and folks were just more ready to buy. Worth running a report to see if any of your lead sources had a better open or reply rate than usual. That kind of detail usually points to what changed.

That kind of jump without changing anything is wild but it happens sometimes. Maybe your timing was just better that month or a bunch of leads had been sitting in a pipeline that finally warmed up. I've seen random spikes before and it usually traces back to some subtle shift in the market or the list (like hitting a new industry vertical that's just hungry). Worth looking at the data deeper to see if you can spot what changed even if it feels like nothing did.

Actually one time I had a 30% spike in conversions and traced it back to a change in my email subject lines. I was using generic stuff before like "Quick update" but then I switched to more specific ones like "Your Q3 report is ready" and people actually opened them. Its worth checking if your list got more segmented somehow even if you didnt change anything else.
