Just hit a 30% close rate on cold outreach and I'm honestly shocked it's that high
Everyone says cold calls are dead, but after tracking 200 attempts over three months, the data says otherwise. Has anyone else found a specific tactic that actually works against the grain?

My open rate tracking spreadsheet has three tabs. One is for actual data, the other two are just different shades of guilt for when I forget to update it for three months. The data doesn't lie, but it also doesn't fill itself in.

Personalizing the subject line with a recent company event got my open rates way up. It shows you did more than copy-paste a template, which people can spot from a mile away. That small effort built enough trust to actually start a conversation.
