My client's new CRM crashed right before a 500-contact email blast on Friday afternoon.
We had to manually export the list and use a basic mail merge, which took 3 extra hours and made me question our entire tech stack setup.

Wait, the CRM crashed right before sending? That's like the worst possible timing. I mean, what are the odds it fails at the exact moment you hit send for 500 people. Makes you wonder about their backup systems, or lack of them.

Ever feel like tech knows the worst time to break?

Reminds me of a buddy whose entire payment system went down on Black Friday. They lost like six hours of sales before they could switch to manual invoices. Totally get what @smith.nancy means about tech picking the worst moments. Their whole disaster plan was just one guy with a spreadsheet.

Dang, read somewhere 60% of small businesses don't even have a real backup plan for tech failures.
