Overheard a vendor say client contracts are 'just paperwork' and it rubbed me raw
I was at a networking lunch in Austin last week and this sales rep from a big software firm said that contracts are just formalities, not real commitments. But from my side, I've seen 3 deals fall apart in the last 6 months because terms were vague and nobody enforced them. Do you treat B2B contracts as binding guardrails or just starting points for negotiation?
Contracts are only as solid as the company culture behind them, if your vendor treats them like a joke upfront that's a huge red flag about how they'll handle issues later.
