Paid $2k for a lead list that was 80% wrong numbers

Hired a data company last quarter to get contacts for manufacturing firms. The list they sent had so many disconnected lines and wrong job titles it was useless. Lost a solid week of my sales team's time calling dead ends. What's a better way to find good leads without this mess?

That's a rough deal but maybe not a total loss. Wrong numbers still show you who's actually active in the space. Could your team use the bad list to find the right contacts through company operators?

Ever try building your own list on LinkedIn?

Tried it once and my list was mostly just me, my mom, and three people who thought they were signing up for a newsletter. Felt less like building a network and more like sending messages into a void. The whole thing just made me realize I'm better at talking to people than collecting them. Probably should have just stuck to commenting on stuff.
