That 2005 Sales Deck made me miss the old days of B2B pitches
I was going through some old files on our server last week, trying to clear space, and I stumbled on a pitch deck from 2005 my old boss used. It was like 45 slides of pure product specs, no storytelling, no case studies, just bullet points and a fax number on the last page. We still closed deals like that, you know, because buyers back then had to actually call you to get any real details. Now everything's about video demos and ROI calculators, and honestly I think we lost something in the speed. Does anyone else feel like the old slow courtship of B2B sales actually built stronger trust than today's instant everything?
