I mean, the permit lottery filled up in minutes, and now I'm stuck waiting another year. Maybe it's just me, but plan way ahead for these popular loops.

Laura mentioned setting a calendar reminder for the exact minute. I get it, but is it really that big of a deal? It's just a hike. Missing one trail isn't the end of the world. There are plenty of other beautiful places you can just drive to and walk around without any fuss. Sometimes I wonder if we make these things into a bigger problem than they are.

Honestly, it feels like everything is moving to this lottery or rush system now. Not just for trips, but for getting into popular restaurants or signing kids up for activities.
