Did the whole Lost Coast Trail last month and the creek crossings were way lower than I expected
I went in early June and only had to take my boots off twice for the whole 25 miles. Usually you hear about five or six wet crossings. The water at Gitchell Creek was barely over my ankles. It made the southern section feel like a totally different hike, way faster and drier. I'm guessing the snow pack up in the King Range was light this year. Has anyone else done it around that time and found the same thing?

Was it like that at Miller Flat too?

Miller Flat was actually way worse (if you can believe it). The crowds there last summer made it impossible to even find a spot to put your towel down. Honestly, it just got ruined by all the hype.

Oh man, don't even get me started. Miller Flat was a total zoo, like someone announced free money instead of a beach day. I saw one guy who basically set up camp right in the water, towel and all. It felt less like a getaway and more like waiting in a really sandy, wet line.

@xena_bailey18 I actually had a different experience at Miller Flat last summer. Sure there were more people than usual but the crowd stayed mellow and I still found good sand near the south end. Maybe I just got lucky with timing but it felt way more manageable than what everyone's describing here.
