Just realized that social media is ruining backpacking routes.

Every time a remote lake goes viral, it gets trampled by crowds. This isn't adventure, it's just following trends. Do you think we should hide locations online?

Honestly the dog park tag is what got me. Who looks at an empty field and thinks the internet needs those coordinates? It's like people are mapping out boredom now.

Stop geotagging everything, seriously.

Oh man, this reminds me of my friend who tagged the exact gym he was at every day. Someone actually waited in the parking lot to ask him about his workout routine, which is just creepy. @lunapalmer, your coffee shop habit sounds tame compared to that. He had to delete his whole account and start over, it freaked him out so bad.

My bad, that last tag was totally unnecessary. Got a real bad habit of telling the whole internet which specific coffee shop I'm ignoring work in. Old dog at the new tricks thing, what can I say. My location history is basically a live map of poor choices and grocery runs. Probably shouldn't have tagged that empty dog park yesterday either.
