Overheard two guys at REI talking about the PCT water report being wrong this year
One of them said he nearly ran dry near Fuller Ridge because a spring listed as flowing was totally gone, lost a whole day hiking back to Idyllwild, has anyone else noticed the report getting unreliable lately?

Whole world's getting less reliable. Not just water reports.

My phone's battery indicator has been lying to me for months now. Says 30% then dies 10 minutes later. The weather app says sunny but my car is covered in ice. Even my coffee maker can't decide if it actually made coffee or just heated up some brown water. So yeah, a water report being wrong just fits right in with the rest of my life's mysteries.

You make a good point @lily_torres31 but I think the PCT water report has been getting sloppy for a few years now. Last season I hiked the JMT and found two caches marked as dry that had plenty of water, and one marked as flowing that was bone dry. The volunteers who maintain that report do their best but they just can't keep up with how fast conditions change in the mountains.
