Rant: that trail near Glacier Lake is way busier than last fall

I hit the same 8 mile loop in October and again this Thursday, the switchbacks got worn twice as wide and there were tire tracks past the no motor sign, what changed with the park service rerouting the south entrance?

October might've been the lull before the fall color crowd, and Thursday was prime leaf season so of course it's packed, but I also saw the same tire marks and think it's more about people ignoring signs than a reroute.
