TIL the unmarked creek crossing on the Eagle Rock loop cost me 3 hours of back and forth

I must have walked the same 200 yards four times near the Buffalo River looking for a blaze that turned out to be a faded orange paint smear on a rock under the water line, and I only found it after a trail runner coming the other way pointed straight down, so now I want to know if anyone else has a route where the map and the ground just plain disagree.
