Wait, did it say years? Like multiple years to get a spot? That's insane. I knew it was competitive but I figured you might miss a season, not a whole presidential term. The system is completely broken if you have to set a calendar alert just for a chance to walk in the woods.

It's beyond broken. People are literally writing scripts to auto-click the second permits drop, like it's a sneaker release. @king.val is right, you need to plan your crisis around a government website. My cousin missed the window for Havasu Falls by ten minutes last year and the next available date was 2026. It turns a simple hike into a high-stakes lottery you can lose for half a decade.
