My $60 greenhouse kit got wrecked by a wind gust in OKC, so now I'm building one from scrap
Two weeks back a 40 mph gust in Oklahoma City flipped my cheap pop up greenhouse and snapped every plastic joint on it. I stood there holding a bent pole and almost just ordered another kit, but my neighbor Dale walked over and said his PVC and cattle panel setup survived 3 winters. So I spent Saturday digging through his scrap pile and we framed a 6x8 hoop out of 3/4 inch PVC and a panel he had sitting behind his shed. Total cost so far is like $18 in zip ties and brackets, and it feels way more solid than the kit ever did. Anyone here built a hoop house and got tips for holding down the plastic cover without concrete?
