Why does nobody talk about rebar stakes for shed anchors?
Last month I was helping my neighbor Mike bolt down his new 10x12 shed after a storm warning. He had these fancy screw-in anchors that cost him like $80. Then his old man walks over, looks at the setup, and says "you know a 2 foot piece of rebar and a sledge does the same thing for 3 bucks." Mike laughed it off but I tried it on my own shed this weekend, drove four stakes at angles through the skids. Rock solid. The screw anchors always wiggled loose after a few freeze thaws. Anyone else skip the store bought kits and just use rebar?
