Appreciation post: That scene in The Room where Tommy Wiseau throws a football underhand
I watched The Room for the first time last night with a group of friends and we couldn't stop laughing at how weirdly he tosses the ball around. It's like he's never seen a football game before but he's trying to look cool doing it. Does anyone else have a specific moment in a bad movie that just breaks them every single time?

That underhand toss is totally a metaphor for how he sees himself.

A buddy of mine tried that. His coach made him go back to basics.

Jump in and fix your toss before it becomes a habit that messes up your whole game. I've been there, thinking it was some deep thing about how I felt, but honestly, it just made my aim worse and looked halfhearted. If you want to send a message about anything, do it with a sharp, clean overhand throw that hits its target. Practice that motion a few times a day, even just tossing a ball in your living room, and you'll feel way more confident. The metaphor only works if you're actually in control of your own throw.
