Finally watched The Room for the first time last night and it clicked for me

I kept hearing people call it the worst movie ever but I didn't get it until that awkward rooftop scene where Tommy Wiseau just tosses a football around for like 5 minutes. That moment made me realize the whole thing is just so sincere and terrible that it wraps back around to being entertaining. Has anyone else had that moment where a bad movie suddenly made sense to you?

Man, that football toss scene is the exact moment it clicked for me too. The way they're just tossing it around in slow motion for no reason with that cheesy music playing is pure gold. You can tell Tommy Wiseau genuinely thought he was making a serious dramatic sports moment or something. It's like watching a car crash that was so carefully put together by someone who had no idea what they were doing. The whole movie has that energy where you can't look away because it's so confidently awful.

Felt the same way @charles640, rewatching that scene with friends turned it into our favorite inside joke.
