Hot take: 'The Room' gets more credit than it deserves

I stopped by the actual apartment building in San Francisco last month where they shot some scenes, and it just made me realize how much of that movie's fame is about the meme, not the film itself. The awkward line readings are fun, but people act like it's the only bad movie that exists, when there are way more interesting trainwrecks out there like 'Troll 2' or 'Birdemic'. Anyone else feel like 'The Room' is the mainstream pick for 'so bad it's good' and it overshadows better bad movies?

Wait, they shot scenes at an actual apartment building? I mean I always figured the whole thing was just a soundstage or something. That's wild to hear it was a real place people live in.
