Just found out they used real wolves for the wolf scene in The Room and it wrecked me laughing
So I was going down a rabbit hole on bad movie facts last night and found out Tommy Wiseau spent around $6 million of his own money on The Room, and a big chunk went to renting actual live wolves for one weird green screen scene. They shot it in a parking lot in LA with the wolves on leashes while the actors pretended to be terrified, and the wolves just kind of stood there confused. There's also a story that the crew had no permits and the animal handlers kept telling Tommy the wolves were not trained for what he wanted. I sat there at 1am replaying that scene like five times because now I can't unsee how scared the actors actually look. Does anyone know if the wolves got credited in the movie? I need to know if they had SAG cards or what.
