My buddy's rant about a spider scene made me rethink bad acting
Honestly, I used to hate on over-the-top acting in cheesy flicks, like the guy screaming at a rubber spider in 'Arachnophobia 2'. My friend Dave said, "No, that's the point, it's a choice that makes it fun." After he pointed out how the ridiculous delivery sells the goofy premise, I started watching those scenes for pure joy instead of cringing. Now I can't stop laughing at the worst line readings, and it's way more fun. Has anyone else flipped their opinion because a friend broke down a truly bad performance?

Dave saying the ridiculous delivery "sells the goofy premise" really hit home for me. I watched a low budget horror movie with a friend who pointed out the lead actor's deadpan face made the whole thing funnier than any joke could. Now I look for those moments on purpose, and it turns a bad movie into a great time.
