PSA: I watched 'The Room' with my book club expecting laughs, and it got weirdly quiet.

They took the melodrama at face value and missed the glorious, accidental comedy. Has anyone else had a group just not 'get' a famously bad movie?

Ever try watching it with friends who get the humor? It changes the whole vibe lol.

Doubt it's that deep for most people. They just want to laugh at a bad movie with friends. Calling it a sad story feels like trying too hard.
