Spent $18 on a 'so bad it's good' movie bundle off eBay that was just 3 scratched discs
I bought this lot of 80s sci-fi flicks from some guy in Omaha, said they were 'collector's items.' Two of them wouldn't even load in my player and the third was some knockoff of Battle Beyond the Stars. Anyone else get burned by cheapo movie bundles online?

Yeah but think of it this way, you basically paid for a coaster set with a bonus mystery disc. Sounds like a win to me.

I used to think that whole "collector's item" label meant something, like the seller actually cared about the condition. Then I grabbed a "so bad it's good" bundle that turned out to be exactly what you described. The one disc that played was a blurry mess with no subtitles and the menu screen froze for a minute before anything happened. It changed my mind about cheap movie lots completely. Now I just assume any bundle under $20 is someone clearing out their garage. You're better off streaming the junk online for free.

Heard some folks on Reddit saying those bundles are hit or miss, and @laura_chen41 nailed it about the garage clearance vibe.
