Rant: My sister told me to get a written chore chart with my roommate, and it made everything worse
When my roommate kept leaving his wet towels on the bathroom floor, my sister told me to sit him down and make a signed chore chart with weekly penalties. I did it, and for about 10 days things were fine, but then he took a weekend trip to Columbus and came back acting like the chart was some kind of personal attack. Now he does his dishes out of spite and slams cabinets, and last Tuesday he actually said 'I'm not your employee' in front of my girlfriend. Has anyone else tried the whole written agreement thing and watched it blow up in their face, or did I just handle it badly?
