Rant: used to let dishes pile up for 4 days, now I do them before bed

My old roommate left a frying pan with grease in it for a week in our Austin place and I turned into the same guy without noticing. Started doing a 10 minute sink clear every night after he moved out and honestly the kitchen smells less like a dumpster, so how do you all split dish duty without it turning into a fight?
