Can we talk about how bread flour prices have jumped 30% since last year?
I was at the supplier last week and the bag of bread flour I normally get went from $12 to almost $16. Makes me rethink how much I'm charging for my sourdough loaves at the farmers market. Anyone else adjusting their prices or just eating the cost?

Yeah, I read a piece in Modern Farmer last month that said global wheat harvests have been low for two years straight, and it's finally hitting the retail shelves. The flour I buy for home baking went up about 3 bucks too, which stings when you're making a few loaves a week just for family and friends. I'm not in the farmers market game, but I can see why you'd have to bump your prices to keep it worth your time. Take this with a grain of salt, but maybe try a different supplier or buy a 50-pound bag if you have the space.

Have you ever tried getting your grain directly from a local mill? @pat_stone it helped me keep prices stable even when the big brands jumped.
