Can we talk about how everyone seems to microwave their butter now?
I keep seeing people do it for cookies, but it makes the dough spread into a greasy mess because the butter gets too hot. My grandma taught me to just leave it on the counter for an hour, and my chocolate chip batch from yesterday turned out perfect.

Wait, people are microwaving butter for cookies? That's just asking for a puddle of grease. Your grandma had it right, room temp is the only way.
