Yeah, I used to think glass was fine too but metal made a huge difference.

Heard some folks online talking about how metal pipes don't absorb the flavor like glass sometimes does, so you get a cleaner taste of whatever you're smoking. My buddy switched and said his hits feel more even and he's not having to clean his piece as often either. Makes sense if you think about how metal holds heat better than glass, keeps the temp steady.

My buddy actually made the switch from glass to metal a few months ago and totally agrees with @amy_west. He said the first hit felt way smoother and he wasn't coughing as much. I guess metal just keeps the temp more consistent or something.
