Just hit 1,000 sourdough loaves baked at home. Did not see that coming.
I started keeping track back in 2019 because I was curious how many I would make. Never thought I would actually get to a thousand. It took five years and a lot of failed starters. Anyone else keep a running count of something they bake regularly?

Love that you counted! I've got a little notebook where I track my pizza dough batches. Makes it way easier to see what works and what doesn't over time. Plus it's fun to look back and laugh at some of those early sticky messes.

Oh wow, that's way too much effort for pizza dough.

Wait, you actually keep a notebook for dough batches? That's wild to me. I mean, I respect the dedication but I'd absolutely lose that thing on day one. I'd probably end up using it as a napkin for wiping my hands or something. But I guess if you're really into perfecting your pizza game, having records must be super helpful. My brain just can't commit to that level of organization though, I'd forget I even had it half the time.
