That week I tried to bake 200 cookies for a school bake sale and forgot to rotate my pans

I pulled 4 trays of charcoal out of the oven Tuesday night because I was too busy frosting the first batch and my kitchen smelled like regret for three days, has anyone else had a bake sale go completely sideways like that?

Charcoal cookies? C'mon, is a bake sale really that big of a deal that four trays of burnt dough is worth three days of regret? Kids buy cookies because they're cheap, not because they're gourmet. I bet half the parents just toss the ones they buy in the trash anyway. Seems like a lot of stress over something that probably funded an extra field trip or some new playground balls.
