My $40 silicone baking mat totally saved my cookies last night

I got this silicone mat from Amazon a few weeks ago, figured what the heck for 40 bucks. Last night I was making chocolate chip cookies and completely forgot to grease the pan. But with the mat, nothing stuck. They came out perfect, no burned bottoms. Usually I end up scrubbing cookie chunks off the sheet for 20 minutes. Has anyone else had good luck with these things or do they eventually get all gross?

Have you been rinsing it right away after use? @john_fisher's got the right idea with hand washing - I tossed mine in the dishwasher once and it came out with a funky smell that took forever to get out.

Stick with washing it by hand and it'll last way longer than the silicon stuff I had before that got all greasy after a few months. I just use warm soapy water and a soft sponge, takes like 30 seconds and they still look brand new. Mine's been through dozens of batches and still slides right out of the pan like I just got it.

Tossed mine in the dishwasher once and it got all cloudy, never again.
